History

Studio 323 New York began as a concept long before we were able to acquire a small storefront space in December, 2010.

After navigating the worlds of interior design, furniture and antique restoration, Chánduví became acutely aware of the importance of pairing pieces of art with the surrounding pieces of furniture for a particular space.

Often the contrast of contemporary art with antique furniture provided a striking, yet appealing visual effect and from this the overarching theme of Studio 323 New York was created.

Once the space was acquired, major renovations were needed to meet our standards for presenting the unique concept of Studio 323 New York with integrity. Originally a hair salon, the space had not been rented for almost five years.

After countless hours of work, Studio 323 New York, complete with gallery lighting, a new canopy, and white walls, was ready to open.
